RECOMMENDED BOOKS I'VE READ RECENTLY

Below is a rather eclectic list of books I've recently read and enjoyed. Their common bond is excellent story telling and writing by talented authors. I highly recommend any of these books for your reading pleasure, and also suggest that you visit the authors' sites. I'll be adding to this list from time to time, so please check back again. BLOOD MONEY by Pepper Smith

Patty O’Donnell is often not what her rural Irish neighbors expect. A smart, strong-minded American, she is married to an Irish Steeplechase jockey, and works in her father-in-law’s racing stables as his assistant.

When a chance discovery reveals that a neighbor is being abused by her second husband, Patty and her family mobilize to help her, taking in her exiled teenage son and initiating a search and salvage effort for a sunken ship that’s cargo could help free the woman fro her abuser. When the boy later disappears and a kidnapping attempt on Patty is thwarted, the others immediately suspect the abusive husband. Patty is sent out of the country, while detectives attempt to locate the missing boy.

Patty joins the search for the shipwreck, unwittingly making herself the target of an international gang of thieves who want the salvage for themselves, and are willing to kill to get it.


WEEDS IN THE WIREGRASS by Herb & Muncy Chapman
Genre: Historical Fiction/Western/Romance

In 1836, the action never stops for Ace Dover's family at the Three Springs Ranch. Rustling and lawlessness prevail in the Florida Territory, and adopted son Treff Ballowe has his hands full trying to protect the TSR pastures. THE MARRIAGE SHAM by Brenda Nyveld
