| Redemption
and hope two of author Steven Douglas Womack’s favorite themes
because they are so essential to human existence. In his 2005 novel
CYCLOPEAN RESCUE, which was recently named Runner-Up Finalist by
Dream Realms for Best Science Fiction Book of 2005, the author explored
the powerful force of revenge and the healing nature of redemption
with his central character, James Clinton Poole, in 23rd century
Indianapolis and beyond. In his short story Legacy, published by
Whiskey Creek Press in November 2006 as one of the selections in
the HOPE AN INSPRIATIONAL ANTHOLOGY collection, Womack looks at
the final day of practice for a retiring doctor. He is currently
working on several short stories, a sequel to CYCLOPEAN RESCUE,
and a novelized version of a co-authored screenplay during his 15
minutes of spare time per month. The author lives just north of
the middle of nowhere in the heart of the American West with his
wife and three children, where he sometimes teaches college history
classes.
